I had a dream there were clouds in my coffee, your sooo vain

LA was Blustery and snowy for Hollywood's Big night. (that's correct, it snowed while we were here.)
Well the last trip to the homeland was hectic and full of drama including the Academy Awards. The good news came from Ron's Doctor; Ron dogged a bullet so to speak and his arm is healing, no surgery  needed. The rehab begins!

Academy awards night and even though we had not seen any of the films, it was fun to be at the party, watching the vain and beautiful, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Whoa, and those dresses!

Phyllis had a party and we made my famous pizza along with Philly's marvelous salad. Deanne and friend Joe came up from Newport and turns out it is in fact a small sailing world, as Joe has sailed with our 1st mate Berkeley and Deanne knows Sherri, a prospective crew member from San Fransisco and fellow sailor! Sure hope Sherri joins us for the adventure. Diane drove up from Palm Springs for the party and was the most informed concerning the films up for awards.  Cheri and daughter drove into the hills to join in and Hank stopped by, so a good time was had by all.

Gotta love ya LA.; the news cast was disturbing and confusing, Kadafi goes crazy, Egypt overtrows the government and Charlie Sheen. I can understand jews and women being pissed at Charle, but the warlocks? Glad to be back on the boat, where there is laughter, wine, and the world can be the world. Living without TV can have it's benefits!

Bring it on!

To add to all the excitement it snowed! Yes you heard me, snow in Southern California in February! That happened like 20 years ago. Global warming perhaps?

So, after an action packed week filled with unexpected twists and turns, we returned to Puerto Vallarta with 4 large suitcases, one of which weighed 63 pounds! Boat parts,(lots) brown rice (none exsists in Mexico) Quinoa grain, Orzo, flour, vitamins, and any last items we just can't make it without.

  1. Are you still in LA? The tsunami didn't affect LA much so I have hopes that the boat (and all of you if you are back on the boat) are OK.
    Let us know ASAP.
